Ortigia can be easily visited on foot, after having crossed the bridge and parked the car, you can easily visit the entire island on foot.

ACCESS IN ZTL
The island of Ortigia, being the historic center of Syracuse and the cultural heart of the city, is a restricted traffic area (ZTL) at certain times and days of the week. Access to the island is limited by gates, the first of which is located before the bridge that connects the island to the mainland. All guests of our holiday homes have access to the ZTL, via a temporary pass, for the duration of their stay.

PARKING LOTS
Near the apartments it is possible to park both in free stalls (subject to availability) and in paid parking lots. From the parking lots it is possible to reach the apartments on foot in a few minutes.
The holiday homes are located in the area of the island with the highest number of free stalls
On the other hand, street parking follows the following regulations: - yellow lines for residents ONLY - white lines, almost all free (also check vertical signs, some parking areas with white lines, near the island market, are free for only one hour )- blue stripes euro 1,50 every hour
Our holiday homes are located in a convenient position, because they are close to the car parks and the major attractions of the island.

RATES AND METHODS OF PARKING TALETE

All the guests of our holiday homes will be in possession of a pass for the ZTL (limited traffic area), in order to access the island. The island, in fact, has access limited only to authorized residents at certain times and days of the week .To be able to park on the island, just 100 meters from the apartments, there is the largest municipal paid car park: the Talete car park.

The costs of the Talete car park are: - Euro 1.50 per hour - Euro 15.00 for 24 hours It is also possible to make a weekly subscription, at a cost of Euro 50.00 Guests of our holiday homes can also make this subscription through us, with the municipality of Syracuse.
In order to pay for the Talete car park, however, you can use the following methods: - via the Easy Park application, using the code 1205 - via the parking meter located in the car park - or by purchasing the ticket in some premises in Piazza Cesare Battisti, in front of the car park

The rates of the Talete municipal car park are Euro 1.50 per hour or Euro 15.00 (for 24 hours)

Subscription Euro 50.00 for 7 days. It is possible to make a weekly subscription with the municipality of Syracuse, for those staying in our holiday homes.
